Paul Fauerso
Paul Fauerso has been making music since the 1960s. Living in the Bay Area, he founded a rock band called Loading Zone, which recorded two albums. Band members and friends lived in a big house together, and they all learned Transcendental Meditation — and many went on to become active in the TM organization.
During his TM Teacher Training course in 1970, Paul met California-based singer-songwriter Rick Stanley. The two formed the legendary duo The Natural Tendency, performing at many international courses in Europe and recording an album, Something Good Is Happening.
During the historic three-week Taste of Utopia Assembly at MIU at the end of 1983 and beginning of 1984, Paul recorded the album Sweet Taste of Utopia.
His wife, Josie, whom he has been with since his Loading Zone days, became a founding member of the MIU Board of Trustees in 1972 and has been an active board member ever since. His daughter Elizabeth is also an MIU Trustee.
Besides his music, Paul is known for his great sense of humor and storytelling prowess.

Master of My Heart
MASTER OF MY HEART
by Paul Fauerso
Master of my heart
My soul is floating like a feather in the sky . . . mmm, mmm
And I’d like to give you so much more than flowers —
What can a candle give the sun?
Master of my heart
My love is flowing like a river to the sea . . . mmm, mmm
And I’d like to give you so much more than singing —
But what can a poor man give his king?
You have given me the grace of your perfect silence —
But who am I to receive such a gift?
My fullness is becoming thy fullness all-pervading
Waves of love are merging with an ocean of bliss
Master of my mind
My heart is open like a lotus in the sun . . . mmm, mmm
And I’d like to give you so much devotion
But what can I say to warm your heart?
Tava dānaṃ vastu Govinda deva tubhyam eva samarpaye
Thy gift my lord, I return to thee
Surrender to thee
Jai Guru Dev
